In 2030, Indonesia is going to have new demographic. It means that Indonesia is going to have many productive citizens. Young generation who live that year will become the main focus for the government. Considering this issue, Primary School Teacher study program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) held a special lecture entitled “Strengthening Characteristic to Prepare Millennial Generation”.

Rector UMM Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd who was the keynote speaker of the agenda was optimistic that students of primary school teacher study program would be excellent students. “Don’t be late coming to the class and don’t make any excuses. That’s called minimize mental”.

Every human being has tremendous potential within their selves. Unfortunately, they are lazy and do not want to leave comfort zone.

Moreover, Fauzan explained the importance of having hard-working mentality. A teacher must have this kind of mentality because he is a role model for his students. Strengthening character must be carried out maximally in order to prepare millennial generation in the future.

Furthermore, each era brings differences in lifestyle and behaviors. “Teachers must have good preparation to educate and teach students, so they will be strong in terms of religious, intellectual and humanism”. (lus)
