Carrying out the latest local issues surrounding governance, the Journal of Government Science (IP UMM0 of Muhammadiyah Malang, Journal of Local Government Issues (LOGOS) will soon get an indexation of the Scopus International journal.
Scopus is the largest indexation of international journals from literary bases such as scientific journals, books and conferences. This moment, LOGOS had got two international indications from the Dirrectory of Open Access Journal (DOAJ) and Crossref.
This English journal was a collaboration between the UMM IP Department at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Sciences with the Muhammadiyah Higher Education Government Association (AIPPTM) and the Association of Indonesian Government Science Lecturers (ADIPSI).
"The issues discussed LOGOS are public policy, city policies, legislative processes, disaster management, conflict management, social empowerment, and local elites from political parties," explained Salahudin, S.IP., M.Si., M.P.Aas managing editor.
Continued by Salahudin, who was also the Head of UMM IP Department said that to get indexation from Scopus there were three conditions, It was speaking English, getting reviewers from five continents, and getting international recognition.
Now, the condition that has not been fulfilled was getting reviewers from five continents. "We have got reviewer professors from Turkey, Sudan, Thailand and Cambodia. We are still trying to catch up from Germany, Vietnam and Australia, "he explained.
For policymakers, this journal can be made for study material before making policy, because the data in LOGOS were direct research on current government issues. For campus, as a way to open opportunities for cooperation.
"With this international journal publication, hopefully, it can make UMM professors known abroad. Also through the LOGOS Journal, it can improve and maintain the accreditation of A UMM Government Science Study Program itself, "he explained. (Win)
