Enriching Experience, Students of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Doing Internship and Community Service bin Thailand

The students who will be doing internship in Thailand sang a  song


University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) is an outstanding university that builds international networking to be world class university. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP UMM) sent 52 students of Biology department, Primary School Teacher department, English Education department, Indonesian Language and Literature department, and Civic department to Thailand to have international experience. Those students will also be doing Community Service there as revealed by the Coordinator of Internship Program, Nur Widodo. This program is aimed to broaden the horizons of students globally. Widodo said, “The purpose of why we are running this program is because we want our students to experience international circumstances”. Moreover, according the theme which is Strengthening International Recognition and Anticipating Global Competition, those students will be placed in several regions, such as Bangkok, Satun, Songkhla, and Krabi. Widodo added, “For now, we are heading to one country only, which is Thailand. But, we have been planning to broaden our cooperation with other countries”.

Those students will be ion Thailand for a month. Furthermore, there are ten foreign students who are the members of Dream School Project AIESEC UMM who will teach in several schools in Malang cooperated with Internship office of UMM.

Nur Widodo said that this program is very important to introduce UMM to international level. He said, “This exchange program both international internship and school project AIESEC is the way we take to go international”.

One of AEISEC members from South Korea, Tae Gyun Lim who is joining Dream School Project revealed that he wants to teach English and share his knowledge to local people in Malang. Lim said, “I wanna teach English and Korean to local people in Malang”. (lus)
