Starting from Today, 96 Football Teams U-11 Across Java-Bali and East Indonesia Compete on Rector Cup UMM 2018

 Football is one of the athletics sports loved by many people. In many cases, football makes diversity become unity. University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) holds a football competition U-11 Rector Cup UMM 2018. This competition is going to be held today, Friday to Sunday (19-21/10) at UMM Stadium.  

According to Dr. Haris Tofly, S.H., M.Hum, the eleven-year-old group was chosen in order to develop the skill in playing football. There are many football schools in this country that train and educate eleven-year-old group. There are 98 clubs from football schools/ football academy/ training school in Java-Bali and East Indonesia will take part in this competition. Haris said, “University of Muhammadiyah Malang is an institution that has a responsibility for the advancement of the nation through football. UMM has facilities and take part to advance Indonesian football”.

The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) as the highest football organization has responsibility to manage and develop Indonesian football. Sometimes, there are policies that make football has no progress. Haris who is a lecturer of Law Faculty, said, “In fact, football can unite diversity. It will be very good if there is a good management and we have strong National Team”.

Competition is main factor for football because it is the point we’d have a strong national team. Competition can be held by stakeholders, not only by PSSI. Therefore, football competition must be sportive, friendly, and peaceful. It shows that the society is healthy, care, and serious. “Besides, sport can make people healthy both physically and mentally”. (lus)
