This time, Thursday Reading Car (KaCa Car) owned by University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) visited Pondok Sinau (Study Corner), Mojosari village, Kepanjen on Thursday afternoon (18/10). Pondok Sinau was established by Hutri Agustino who is a lecturer of Social Welfare study program. This place has many social programs such as literation activity, reading books, and reciting Quran. When KaCa Car is coming, children from primary school, housewives, and the elders cheerfully welcome it.
First session begins with storytelling. They are told the story about the Storyteller. Then, they play traditional games. After that, they watch a children movie. Through a movie, the children learn the exemplary of Prophets cheerfully.
KaCa Car provides education through movie. Hutri revealed, “If only Pondok Sinau had a car like, it would be great for children, they would stay here all day long”.
Children play Rangkuh Alu, which is a traditional game from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). So far, they knew what Rangkuh Alu is, but never play it. (lus)
