UMM Students Won the Tilawatil Quran Competition at National Air Force Level

The competition selection of the Air Force Operations Command (Koopsau II) level held by the Indonesian Air Force brought students in the Informatics Engineering Department of the University of Muhamadiyah Malang (UMM), Rasyid Lutfi Hardiansyah, as the first National champion at the Indonesian Air Force Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta (12 / 9).

This Student of 2016 set aside dozens of participants from all over Indonesia. Rasyid won in the teenage category Musabaqoh Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) reading the Surah Al Isra verse 70 from 7 Surah reading materials that had been prepared. They were such as Surat Az-Zumar verse 71, As-Syu'ara verse 69, Al-Isra 70, As-Saba verse 22, Al-Fathir 27, As-Saffat verse 99, Al-Lukman verse 12.

The teenager from Madiun who was also active in the Martial art of Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate Brotherhood (PSHT) of UMM had always won a competition held by the Air Force previously. In 2013 and 2017, he got the Second Place MTQ at the national level. Rasyid admitted having the expertise of qira'at (reading) the Quran was passed down from his father who was also an expert in the reading of the Qur'an.

Because of his achievements, Rasyid got an Umrah gift and a number of pocket money that was successfully gotten. "If I can exchange Umrah gifts, I want my parents to go to the Ka’ba first than me because my parents were the ones who guided me until this moment, "concluded Rasyid.

The event was held every 2 years with categories Musabaqoh Tilawatil Qur'an (MTQ), Musabaqoh Fahmil Qur'an (MFQ) and Musabaqah Hifdzil Qur'an (MHQ) with adult male participants (military / civil servants), women (citizens / PNS / PIA and PNS Wives), adolescents (sons / daughters of military personnel / PNS) and children (sons / daughters of military personnel / PNS / Retired TNI AU) aim to choose the best qori and qoriah in Indonesia at the TNI-AU level.

"With the conducting of the MTQ, MFQ and MHQ competitions, hopefully, the ladies and gentlemen who get the trust later as MTQ, MFQ and MHQ participants representing Koopsau II can achieve achievements and carry the good name of Koopsau II in the MTQ, MFQ and MHQ competitions in Jakarta, "said Pangkoopsau II Young Marshal Donny Ermawan, T., M.D.S, at the opening.
