HAVING a beautiful and charming face with a strong vision and mission is the main provision that must be owned by beauty pageant participants. Thus, in the world of beauty contests is known as beauty with purpose. This advantage also brought Paradifa Githa Saphira to become the 2nd Runner Up of Miss Global Indonesia in Jakarta.
After getting this prestigious title, Difa, her familiar nickname, is now preparing to join the 2019 Miss Glam World which will be held in India. Miss Glam World is one of the greatest beauty contests in the world. The contest was held to look for female talents, who not only being beautiful but also talented from around the world.
To our reporters, Difa began to tell her inspirational story to become the 2nd Runner Up of Miss Global 2018. Her status as a student of Faculty of Medicine, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) did not become an obstacle for Difa to continue her career as well as a hobby that she has been engaged in since in Kindergarten (TK).
"Yes, although being a FK student is indeed very busy, but with the spirit and enthusiasm, there must be a way," said the girl from Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
The support from parents is one of the factors for Difa to continuously work in modeling. For her, having talent to become a model can bring her to meet inspirational people. The ability she has is inseparable from the role of he mother who brought Difa to take a personality class while in Junior High School (SMP).
"Mama saw that there is a talent inside my self. Yet I was too look like a boy. Finally, I was invited by mother to join the personality class," she said.
The solidity of the lectures made Difa increasingly strict to arrange her schedule. Dara who is also the 2017 UMM GenRe Ambassador has a principle, that as long as we are still given the opportunity to work, there is no reason to not do it. While feeling hopeless, Difa said, we must immediately get up and motivate ourselves again.
"We don't live long and only once. In my opinion, there is no reason for not being filled with positive activities," she said.
At the end, the Miss Global East Java also expressed her opinion about how young people must think and act. Meeting with many people who were more successful than her made Difa constantly is motivated to fill her days with positive activities, including spreading usefulness to many people.
"My message is for young people, never think negatively. Thoughts filled with positive things will make our lives more progressive," she added.
Having experience to be Miss Global Indonesia, Difa hopes that in the future she can form a community that can embrace People with HIV/AIDS (ODHA). According to her, ODHA still does not get a place in the community. This is because people still have a stigma that ODHA are those who have a background in crime and obliged to be shunned. (ard)
