The Faculty of Law University of Muhamadiyah Malang (FH-UMM) is always committed to making its students as graduates who are ready to be involved in the work-life. This is demonstrated through the giving of ideas, programs and activities that vary according to developments and needs.

Together with the Law laboratory, one of the programs undertaken was conducting Law Skill Education and Training (PLKH) as course material for law students in every semester with a total of 2 SKS (Semester Credit System).

By presenting a different theme each semester, this time PLKH I and III brought the theme Legal Managerial presented by Dr. Soehartono Soemarto from Law Firm Soehartono Soemarto & Rekan, S.H., M.Hum and the theme of Mediation by Judi Prasetyo, SH., M.H. from the Malang District Court, (28/9).

Followed by hundreds of Law Faculty students 2016, this seminar was held at Seminar Room GKB 4, 9th Floor UMM. In the first material, Soehartono discussed competence, personality and management skills and the moment of being a lawyer. The story departed from his experience as an advocate for 38 years.

Furthermore, Soehartono asserted that if he had been involved in the lawyer life, then it was required to deepen the problems that were present in the community. "Do not ever directly believe what the client said, you have to find out from two sides before you can conclude" he explained.

Continued by the second material, Judi who was also the Vice-Chairperson of the Malang District Court explained that mediation itself was as an alternative problem solving that was conducted in 3 stages, namely pre-mediation and post mediation by signing an agreement between the two parties.

"In the class, students also get materials related to PLKH for 3 days with their lecturers. Through PLKH, students get practical knowledge studies directly from experts ". Said Wahyudi Kurniawan, SH. M, Hli as the Head of the Law Faculty of Law UMM. (win)
