WORKS: 3D wall magazine in the form of mountain illustrated the ecosystem of earth that need to be preserved together, Friday (24/4)
The nuance of Earth Day celebration at University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) is still felt today. Now, the turn for Biology Student Association (Himabio) UMM held an exhibition 3D wall magazine. Interestingly, all the main material that used are secondhand or recyclables. The plan, this exhibition will be held at hotspot area floor 3,5 GKB I, until tomorrow, Saturday (25/4).
“This wall magazine is learning media from lecture material that already learned. They can be free to create this magazine,” said Lusthia Wijaya Anggraeny, the secretary of this activity.
Not only exhibition, in second day will be held mass gymnastic also student pledge. “Tomorrow (25/4) we will promise to protect the environment and cleanliness,” she said.
In addition to exhibition and mass gymnastic also student pledge, Himabio cooperated with Department of Biology UMM also will provide some cleaning tools for each class of Biology. The tools are brooms, feather duster, dust pan and tablecloth. “We will be an example for other departments in order to keep clean in class,” she said.
One of group the participant of exhibitor from Biology 4B told, the process of making wall magazine was in two days. “Our wall magazine told about the condition of environment and ecosystem on the earth today. Near the sea or lake already made as tourism so didn’t think about fishes and ecosystem around, some of green land became factory and residential, and there are much of damages that caused by human,” said the coordinator of her group, Dian Rizkiaditama.
“I hope can participate to speak among student especially to care for environment,” she added.
This wall magazine exhibition was participated by 16 groups that consisted from 2013 generation and 2014. The wall magazine was also voted by visitor. The winner will get a prize in the form of certificate and parcel from the committee. (zul/nas)
