KRI Has the Students Creative

Rektor UMM, Dr. Muhadjir Effendy, MAP mendampingi Dirjen Dikti Kemendiknas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Suryo Hapsoro Tri Utomo meninjau Dome UMM sebagai tempat pelaksanaan KRI.
         The Director of Research and Community Service (DP2M) Director General of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Ir. Suryo HapsoroTri Utomo, said that the Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) was not aimed to make students robots. The most important value of the contest was the students’ creativity and art through robot. "Does mean that robot is unimportant, but the students’ creativity is more important," said Hapsoro, when visited UMM (4/19).

Hapsoro’s visitation was related to UMM as the host of KRI 2010. Not only KRI, but Kontes Robot Cerdas Indonesia (KRCI) and Kontes Robot Seni Indonesia (KRSI) were also held in UMM. KRI and KRCI were contested for regional and national scale, while KSNI was for national level only.

"UMM is ready to organize regional and nationalevents," said the Executive Chief, Ir. M. Irfan, MT. For the regional scale, the event would be on May 22nd to 23rd, while the national event on June 19th to 20th 2010. UMM Dome would be the centre of the event and it was planned to be opened by Education Minister, M. Nuh.

Talking about the participants’ and official lodging, Irfan had been prepared it in UMM Rental Flat and Rumah Bali. While the judges and the main committee would stay in University Inn. National standard lighting, display, and the field would be provided at the venue.

Hapsoro reviewed some event locations, accompanied by three main judges of KRI  2010, UMM Rector Dr. Muhadjir Effendy, MAP, the Vice Rector III Drs. Joko Widodo, M. Si, and the committee of KRI 2010. (nas/t_ris)
