The Income of Sengkaling Park Has Been Reinvested

Since being taken over by University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), Sengkaling Recreational Park has significantly increased the number of visitors. It was stated by UMM Rector Prof. Dr. Muhadjir Effendy, MAP as being quoted in, last week.

Despite this fact, UMM still has ambition to grow the income and once again invest this recreational park. Due to this infestation, UMM will maintain and add many vehicles in Sengkaling Park.

The current gross income of Sengkaling Park has reached 12 billion rupiahs each year. Meanwhile, the net income has reached 6-7 billion rupiahs. “From the net income, we will reinvest to maintain and add several vehicles in Sengkaling Park,” said Muhadjir.

            By now, UMM has added food center and widen the area more than 26.000m2. Moreover, many vehicles have been repaired to meet the modern and cozy atmosphere. In the future, he added, Sengkaling Park will be developed as educative recreational park. It will connect to UMM and become university visit package.

            “The development will be continuously done to reach the gross income 20 billion rupiahs each year,” said him.         

UMM has regarded as progressive university which develops the business units. Since last 2000, the university has willing to grow independently. Besides, those business units can be used as laboratory for both faculties and students to learn the entrepreneurship. (nas/t_stu)
