|1001 Figurative Language Application now can de downloaded in Play Store|
Youths nowadays prefer to use gadget rather than read a book. 1001 Figurative Languages application created by students of Indonesian Language and Literature department, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (PBSI UMM) is modified. By having copyright letter number 000110913 issued by the Ministry of Law and Human Right, this application will be brought to compete in the 31rd National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) 2018.
Dini Anggita Sumantri, the founder of the application revealed that she has been preparing to compete in PIMNAS that will be held in State University of Malang on August 28, 2018 up to September 2, 2018. “This application can be downloaded in Play Store. All documents needed such as intellectual property rights letter, news clipping published in media and presentation material are ready”.
1001 Figurative Language application is designed by bright color, cheerful songs, and is easy to access. There are also short comics explaining many kinds of figurative language and formal language, and is useful for children. “The purpose of why this application is created is to make primary school students and high school students easier to do literary works. They can learn how to use Indonesian formal language. It all is provided in this application”.
Previously, Dini Anggita Sumantri and Wulan Ria Anggraini created a figurative language application for android-based. They collaborated with Shodiq Imam Purnomo, a student of Informatics Engineering, Engineering Faculty to fix the concept. Realizing that they are not an expert in application creator, they tried to find a help. Then, they collaborated with Farih Nazihullah, a student of Informatics Engineering and Faisal Hidayat who is a student of Communication Science to make a concept of content and comic. Finally, they created three main menus, namely material, games, and comics, becomes three in one so that the users easier to learn figurative language. There are three choices in game menu; they are Sang Jagoan (The Hero), Teka-Teki Silang (Cross Puzzle, and Jodoh Kata (Word Match). Dini who is a student from Sangatta, East Kalimantan said, “In comics menu, there are figurative languages on the story”.
