Faculty of Medicie University of Muhammadiyah Malang (FK UMM) held an Instructional Engineering Basic Skill Training (PEKERTI). The training was to equip new counselors for co-assistant students (Koas) from 2 hospitals that had just worked with FK UMM, namely RSUD H. Slamet Pamekasan and RSUD Dr. Soedomo Trenggalek.
During two days, Friday (11/23) to Saturday (11/24), the new counselors of Koas students were given material on how to design the curriculum, make teaching materials, choose teaching methods, assess and evaluate so that the doctors produced could fit the qualifications assigned by FK UMM.
"We educate doctors who will be the mentors of Koas students so that they can implement teaching related to what we expect. Therefore, before starting the program on January next year, we find it here first," explained Rubayat Indradi, chairman of PEKERTI.
In addition to two hospitals that had just collaborated with FK UMM, the hospital which had not taken part in this training also participated in a similar program. Other hospitals that attended this training were Surabaya Hajj Hospital, Jombang Hospital, Muhammadiyah Hospital Lamongan, Gambiran Kediri Hospital, and Bhayangkara Kediri Hospital.
The training scheme program was carried out for two materials in the class and five days for task. “The task given here, the counselor must design the curriculum that will be submitted to the Board of Academic Quality Control (BKMA),” said Rubaya. The design result will be submitted to BKMA to be assessed.
After receiving an assessment, the counselor received a certificate of eligibility to teach Koas Students. According to Rubayat, this training is very important to unite the frequency of mission and vision among hospitals and FK UMM. From this training, Rubayat hopes that Koas students can be well guided by their chosen supervisors. (ard)
