BKMA Coordinates The Faculty Quality Control

Academic Quality Control Bureau (BKMA) University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) held a workshop for disposing Commission Quality Documents of Academic Quality Control (KKMA) in BAU Hall, UMM during Friday-Saturday (13-14/2). This workshop was attended by Dean, Vice Dean I, and representative faculties from each faculty that has duty on developing quality control. Head of Human Resources Development Board (BPSDM), Head of Internal Monitoring Board (BPI), Campus Development Control Board (BP2K), and Head of Accreditation Management Board (BPA).
According to Head of BKMA UMM Prof. Dr. Noor Harini, M.S, this workshop was a follow-up workshop from the previous one which was still related to quality assurance in UMM. Differently, this workshop was devoted in academic quality in each faculty. In university level, this such workshop had been held since 2012 donated by Grant Program for Institution-based Competence (PHKI) from Directorate of Higher Education (Dikti).
Continuing, Noor Harini explained that quality control was regarded as precious affairs since UMM was demanded to capable in creating qualified graduates having great competence. “KKMA serves as quality assurance board, academic coordination, and accreditation evaluation in each faculty,” said Noor.
In order to be well-managed, Noor Harini added that BKMA has started implementing quality control management based on information technology (IT) in which the data of learning evaluation could be accessed and uploaded quickly through internet and smartphone. “Therefore, the quality assurance in UMM has been based on IT and we could create a portal in each department and faculty. Hence, the progress of this program can be easily monitored,” she ended. (ger/han/t_stu)
